This small solar motor is inspired by the real Mendocino motor (with magnetic levitation). As the Mendocino, it only requires light to rotate on its axis, the photovoltaic panels directly supplying its coils. ☀️⚡️
How does it work ? The light, which mainly reaches the most exposed panel at an instant"t", induces an electric current in the copper coil of the motor. This electric current in turn induces a magnetic field which interacts with the magnet placed below. This magnetic interaction produces a force (Lorentz's law) causing the motor to rotate on its axis.
Details: this engine is already mounted. The disassembled preview is only present to reveal the engine makeup in detail.
